ELIGIBILITY
Under Charity Commission rules all applicants must meet certain requirements in order to qualify for a property.
Rules​

All applicants must be:

over the age of 55.

in housing need.
-
of limited financial means*.

living or have lived for a significant period during the past 20 years in East Barnet, Chipping (High) Barnet or Friern Barnet or, exceptionally, in the London Borough of Barnet as a whole.

able to live and care for themselves independently.

The charity cannot offer residential or medical care.
Emergency liaison is available.
*The holding of some modest savings will not jeopardise the qualification for an almshouse but it is essential that a full disclosure of personal circumstances and financial matters is made.
Failure to do so could result in an offer being withdrawn later.
